Happy Halloween!

I hate to admit it, but we haven’t really been into Halloween in the past few years.  When Mr. O and I first started dating, we hosted a Halloween party at my home, complete with fog machine, 12 foot inflatable Frankenstein, a real copper cauldron with dry ice for the beverages, cobwebs, the works.  I was Lucy from “I Love Lucy” that year.  Someday when I find those photos, I’ll post them.  It was super fun.

This year it has been so crazy around here that I didn’t really do much to decorate.  But I wanted to do something, so I thought I’d fancy up the candy bowl.  First stop – the Dollar Store!  I picked up a plastic “cut-glass” bowl and vase, a silver charger, and some flowers and gourds…

 (yes, we are partial to KitKats at our house)

 So, for about $10, we have a festive spot for the candy to hang out until we eat it all hand it out!
